Faking It

Just because we’re sensible and vegan doesn’t mean we should deny ourselves the delights of eggs, cheese and bacon.

Naturally, Big Food, watching the growing trend of eating a plant-based whole food diet with dismay and with a determination to shore up their dwindling profits have jumped on the band wagon with ‘plant-based’ cheeses eggs and bacon – an even seafood, like shrimps.

But, because of their need to preserve the shelf life of these products, they quickly get filled with various additives and emulsifiers and so quickly go down the slippery slope to becoming highly processed Vegan Junk Food, which is a complete No Go area for folks like us interested in promoting good health and longevity.

Fortunately, because we can create our own faux cheeses and bacon for immediate consumption, we have no need for preservatives and the like, meaning we can indulge ourselves in guilt-free foods that taste just like the real thing – but are actually BETTER than the real thing, because it is free of all those nasties such as cholesterol and IGF1.
